The Sunbury community is set to benefit with a $2.5 million election commitment that a re-elected Albanese Labor Government will put towards the upgrade of the Eric Boardman Stadium.
Federal Labor Member for Hawke Sam Rae announced the funding, which will support critical upgrades to the stadium’s infrastructure for the membership of the Sunbury Basketball Association and the wider Sunbury community.
This project will include delivering expanded office and meeting rooms, improved spectator and participant amenities, accessible entryways, technology enhancements and designated community learning spaces.
These improvements will allow SBA to meet the increasing demand for basketball, netball and community programs.
