The Bacchus Marsh community is set to benefit from a major investment, with a $25 million commitment that a re-elected Federal Labor Government will deliver a brand-new indoor aquatic centre. Federal Member for Hawke Sam Rae was in Bacchus Marsh to announce the significant funding commitment.
This $25 million election commitment will fund a brand-new indoor aquatic centre designed to cater to the growing needs of Bacchus Marsh residents.
The facility will provide essential services such as learn-to-swim, water safety, rehabilitation therapy, and recreational swimming, promoting health and wellbeing across our region.
This federal commitment would provide the remaining money needed to build the pool. The Moorabool Shire Council has already contributed $15 million and the Victorian Government has put forward $10 million.
This commitment is welcome news for families in Bacchus Marsh who have campaigned for this investment. Only Federal Labor will deliver the infrastructure that our community needs.
Consistent with past practice, election commitments will be delivered in line with Commonwealth Grants Rules and Principles.
