Labor Member for Hawke, Sam Rae MP welcomed Labor Member for Gellibrand,
Tim Watts MP to Khalsa Shaouni Temple in Plumpton to announce that a re-elected
Albanese Labor Government will deliver $3 million towards a brand-new kitchen and dining facility, and to improve
accessibility, at the temple.
This $3 million election commitment will enhance the temple’s ability to host inclusive
events and continue their food relief programs for the community.
The Sikh Australian community in our Western suburbs, including in Hawke, are
constantly working hard to support the local community, and this investment will
ensure their important work can continue.
Only a Federal Labor Government will deliver for multicultural and multifaith
communities across Hawke.
Consistent with past practice, election commitments will be delivered in line with
Commonwealth Grants Rules and Principles.
