The Federal Member for Hawke, Sam Rae MP is celebrating a significant milestone in delivering bulk-billed, high-quality healthcare, with more than 20,000 patients receiving care at the Labor-built, Bulk-billed Medicare Urgent Care Clinic (UCC) in Sunbury.
The Sunbury Medicare UCC has been a game-changer for the local community, providing free, walk-in care for non-life-threatening conditions and reducing pressure on local emergency departments.
Since opening, the clinic has ensured that thousands of residents have had timely access to accessible free medical care.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Sam Rae MP visited the Sunbury Medicare Urgent Care Clinic in late-February.
Medicare Urgent Care Clinics are part of the Federal Labor Government’s plan to strengthen Medicare and improve healthcare accessibility for our community.
The clinic in Sunbury clinic is fully bulk-billed, staffed by highly qualified doctors and nurses, and equipped to handle medical needs, such as injuries, infections, and illnesses.
This goes alongside the Labor Government’s recent commitment to invest $8.5 billion to ensure everyone in our community can see a bulk-billed GP.
